Risk Disclosures

External risks that remain even under a non-custodial model, disclosed clearly

The non-custodial model removes many traditional platform risks, particularly those arising from a platform holding user funds. However, certain external risks remain. Husher cannot eliminate these risks; it can only minimize unnecessary platform-level exposure.

Risk categories

ESP counterparty risk

Exchange Service Providers hold temporary custody of user funds during execution, typically for seconds to minutes. While Husher selects ESPs based on routing logic and reliability, ESPs are independent third parties. Potential risks include execution delays, operational errors, or in rare cases, provider misconduct. Husher does not control ESP internal systems and cannot guarantee ESP behavior beyond what is observable at the routing layer.

Network or blockchain risk

Transactions depend on the underlying blockchain networks of both the input and output assets. Network congestion, protocol forks, reorganizations, or chain-specific failures can cause delays, failed transactions, or unexpected outcomes. These conditions are outside Husher's control.

User-side risk

Incorrect destination addresses, wrong network selections, phishing attacks impersonating Husher, or malware that alters clipboard addresses can all result in permanent fund loss. Crypto transactions are irreversible once confirmed on-chain. Husher cannot recover funds sent to the wrong address or network.

Market and execution risk

For float-rate orders, the output amount is based on the market rate at the time of execution, not at the time of the quote. During periods of high volatility, slippage can widen the gap between the estimated and final output. Fixed-rate orders lock the rate, but require a deposit within the lock window; late deposits revert to float-rate behavior.

Regulatory or compliance actions

ESPs operate under their own compliance frameworks and may apply AML or KYC checks, place holds on activity flagged by their systems, or decline to process certain transactions. These are decisions made independently by ESPs. Husher does not control ESP compliance decisions and cannot override holds or reversals applied by an ESP.

Summary

Husher's design minimizes platform-level risk by removing custody and internal balances entirely. The residual risks described above are common to non-custodial execution broadly and are disclosed here so users can make informed decisions about trade sizing, order type selection, and network choices.
