# Jurisdictional Notes

Husher's registration status, the platform's software-only nature, and users' own jurisdictional responsibilities

Husher is not registered as a money services business, virtual asset service provider, or financial institution in any jurisdiction. The platform is provided strictly as software. Users interact directly with:

* Public blockchains
* Independent Exchange Service Providers

{% hint style="info" %}
Husher provides routing and orchestration software only. It is not a broker, custodian, or regulated exchange, and it does not provide legal or tax advice.
{% endhint %}

### User responsibilities

Compliance requirements vary by country. Users are responsible for understanding and complying with:

* Laws in their own jurisdiction
* Laws applicable to the ESPs involved in their swaps

Why does Husher not give legal or tax guidance?

Because Husher operates as a non-custodial software layer rather than a financial intermediary, it is not in a position to interpret or apply the laws of any specific jurisdiction on behalf of users. Applicable rules depend on your location, the ESPs you interact with, and the nature of your activity. Consult a qualified legal or tax adviser for guidance specific to your situation.
