# AML Overview

How anti-money-laundering responsibilities are distributed, and what Husher prohibits

Husher does not collect personal information, require KYC, or maintain user accounts. Because Husher does not custody funds or intermediate transactions, primary AML responsibilities fall on the Exchange Service Providers (ESPs) that execute trades.

Use of the platform for illegal activity is strictly prohibited. Husher cooperates with lawful requests from authorities where required by applicable law.

### Husher's position on AML

* **No personal data collection.** Husher does not require KYC or maintain identity records.
* **No surveillance.** Husher does not actively monitor, profile, or surveil individual users.
* **Cooperation with authorities.** Where required by law, Husher cooperates with lawful requests.
* **ESP responsibility.** The ESPs that execute and settle trades carry primary AML obligations under their own licensing and regulatory frameworks.

The diagram on the [Compliance & Responsibility overview](/documentation/legal-and-compliance/compliance-and-responsibility.md) illustrates how AML reporting obligations flow from ESPs to relevant authorities, separate from Husher's software layer.
