# Compliance & Legal

How AML and KYC obligations are handled, and what users are responsible for in their own jurisdiction

Husher is a non-custodial routing interface. Compliance obligations such as AML monitoring and reporting fall primarily on the Exchange Service Providers that execute swaps. Users remain responsible for complying with the laws of their own jurisdiction.

{% hint style="warning" %}
Using Husher for illegal activity is prohibited. Privacy features do not exempt users from legal obligations and do not prevent reporting where required by law.
